We are currently looking for a part-time vocal teacher for Saturday morning training. The school operating hours are from 8:30 until 13:10, however, the hours that you attend would be based on how many students are enrolled for vocal training.

Should you be interested in more information, please contact Rolf at rolf@mmma.co.za.

To know more about the academy please visit our website www.mmma.co.za

Kindermusik with Nats is growing and needs more Kindermusik educators at our Gardens/Sea Point/Claremont and Bergvliet branches!

Who teaches Kindermusik?

  • Private, independent music teachers
  • School teachers
  • Church musicians and music ministers
  • Music therapists
  • Someone who has experience in working with young children
Some have a degree in music education, music performance, music therapy or early childhood education. Some choose Kindermusik as an alternative career choice. Some do not have a formal music degree, but do have a solid musical background (music lessons, choral experience, play and instrument).

All adore children!

Prerequisites:
Here are some more prerequisites for training participants. While your skills and understanding in these areas may not be fully developed at this time, please realize that your commitment to achieving these competencies is most important in Kindermusik training.

  • Degree in Music; or Diploma in Music; or Unisa Grade 6, 7 or 8 music examinations; or Music as a subject at High School. OR A musical background such as participation in a choir, orchestra or band; or the study of music theory, singing, piano or another musical instrument.
  • The ability to learn and then sing on pitch short, simple songs of various styles without instrumental or recorded accompaniment, and to interpret basic pitch notation accurately.
  • The ability to sing in the appropriate range and with a light voice quality suitable for young children.
  • The ability to listen to and then reproduce simple rhythmic and tonal patterns and to interpret basic notation accurately.
  • The ability to maintain a steady beat and move comfortably to music.
  • An interest in and the ability to lead a class of small children with and without adult caregivers in musical learning activities for 30-60 minutes.
  • The ability to communicate with and effectively interact with parents and other adults who are important to the life and development of a Kindermusik child.

Training

Every new educator must successfully complete Kindermusik training to obtain a license. Developed with care and innovation and the most recent research in early childhood development, Kindermusik training is fun, informative and life-changing. The training costs R10,000 and qualifies you internationally.

Training takes 2 months and is done correspondingly and during that time you need to attend a 2-day course with the CEO of Kindermusik SA in Klerksdorp.

I am looking for two educators to start teaching next year January or March in the following areas: Claremont/Bergvliet & Gardens/Sea Point. Training needs to start ASAP so I’ll be interviewing the potential candidates in the following two weeks.

The course is correspondent in nature so it can be completed whilst in the process of ending a current job, in case you were concerned about timing.

Requirements:
Full time position (hours 09:00-17:15)
Must have own computer and internet access at home
No applicants under 25 years
Female applicants only

All C.V’s to be sent to info@kindermusikwithnats.co.za. Please attach a photo of yourself.

Musically yours,
Natalie Jansen van Vuuren
Owner of Kindermusik with Nats
